Thanks for sharing those strategies but I rather used article submission and blog commenting because they are really effective to generate traffic.

Twitter, Hubpages, and Squidoo - are high visited websites . Its free too . you can advertise free your product or website through Squidoo lenses and Hubpages .You can popularized your product throgh interesting Tweets . This help to attract lots of visitors.

Build a quality site, with quality content, and submit it to quality search engines. Incoming and outgoing links are both looked at- don't be a link farm and don't put links on them, they are not good for your site
